What Glenda is
Glenda is a phone and chat agent that home inspection companies use to answer calls, quote pricing, and capture leads on their behalf. This policy covers the business customers ("tenants") who use Glenda, and the callers who reach a business through it.
Google Calendar access
If a business connects its Google Calendar to Glenda, we request access to check real-time availability (free/busy information) and to place a temporary hold on a calendar slot when a caller is interested in booking. We do not read event titles, descriptions, attendees, or any other event content — only whether a time is free or busy. A hold is automatically removed if the caller doesn't complete their booking within a short window. We never access a connected calendar for any purpose other than checking and holding availability on that business's behalf, and we never share calendar data with anyone else.
What we collect from callers
When someone calls or texts a business using Glenda, we may collect their name, phone number, email address, and details about the inspection they're asking about (property address, timing, requested services). This information is used only to provide the business with the lead and to help complete a quote or booking — never sold, and never used for advertising.
Text messages
Glenda sends a caller a text message only when they ask for one or say yes when it is offered — for example, a link to finish a booking request, a list of open inspection times, or a sample report. The business using Glenda may also receive a text about a new request. Text messaging is used only to communicate about the services that were requested. It is never used for marketing or promotional purposes.
Mobile phone numbers and text messaging consent are never shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply; how many messages you receive depends on your request.
How data is stored and protected
Data is stored in an access-controlled database. Sensitive credentials — including any connector authorization tokens, such as a connected Google Calendar's access token — are encrypted at rest and are never visible in plain text to Glenda staff.
Revoking access
A business can disconnect its Google Calendar from Glenda at any time from its own dashboard, or by removing Glenda's access directly from their Google Account permissions. Once disconnected, we stop accessing that calendar entirely.
